About Bowden Brigham

A student, athlete, and builder who likes turning ideas into real things.

I am a 17-year-old student at Phoenix Country Day School. I have always loved building whatever was in my imagination. When I was younger, that meant cardboard and duct tape. Now it means solid wood, metal, mechanics, and projects that are meant to last.

Quick facts

What shapes my work

Most of what I build comes from a mix of school, sports, travel, family, and time spent around tools.

School

I am 17 years old and go to Phoenix Country Day School.

Sports

I primarily play hockey, squash, and track and field.

Family

I have four brothers: two younger than me and two older. One graduated from Yale, and one is a junior at Yale.

Places

I spend summers in Maine and Finland, two places that feel like home.

Building mindset

From imagination to finished work.

I love to build whatever I can picture clearly enough to try. My skills are primarily welding, woodworking, mechanics, and carpentry, but I am always looking to broaden my horizons and learn new ways to make things.

I also love to travel, ski, drive boats, and sail. Maine and Finland are especially important to me because they are places where I spend time outside, work with my hands, and get ideas for future projects.
